Our Chimp, Greenhorn and Apeman headgear are all pretty much the the same headgear desinged to the same specs just with differant shells. These headgears will be less bulky then our silverback headgears.  However they will still provide great protection.

The Chimps are our kids headgear = $39 in Flex PVC

The Greenhorn are our adult entry level headgear = $49 in flex PVC

The Apeman are the same as the Greenhorn just with a thick Leather Shell = $79 in 1.3mm Full Grain Leather

How Do these compare with the Winning Fg-2900

  1. They offer a bit more padding overall
  2. They have a bungee lace system
  3. They have Angular Cheeks for better visibility
  4. they have the same ridge on the tips of the cheek protectors
  5. they have a non slip easy to clean liner
  6. They have more padding on the back of the head
  7. The apeman’s are in leather
  8. and they 3 to 5 times less expensive then the winning fg-2900

The Pictures came in the other day. These headgear are going to be that baddest headgear around.  these are the changes we made on top of last years model.

  3. 1/2″ thicker on the sides
  4. Removed the ridged padded top in changed it to a padded velcro strap for better quicker secure fit.
  5. Cheek protectors are clooser to the nose
  6. Check protectors angle downward to provide better visibility
  7. extra ridge of padding on cheeks, forehead and sides of headgear.
  8. thicker 1.3mm full grain leather

Sneek peek at our new silverback shin guards

Just approved the mold for our new silverback shin guards and these bad boys will be our top king killers as they have the shape of the top kings shin guards but that’s where all the similarities end.  Our silverback will have our New Hi-Impact padding which will be softer while still offering more protection, our leather will be alot thicker/better (however 80% of the time you see stores selling the cheaper PVC top kings not the Leather ones), and last they will be constructed in a one piece design for much greater longevity.

We should be stocked up on our new hand wraps sometime in the next 2 weeks.

Space Ape Head Guards came in last week

If your on a budget but still want a good head guard to use in boxing, mma, and or muay thai look no further then these bad boys. I’d put this model up against any full face head guard from fairtex, twins, hayabusa and these would be just as good but just at a fraction of the cost.

Key features on this head guard

  • 1.5inches pf padding on the cheeks
  • 1.3inches of padding on the forehead
  • cheeks are 3inches apart to provide great visibility
  • extra padding on ears
  • elastic band to automatically secure the top of the head guard

Out of Regular silverback headgear and next batch has too many upgrades

Originally we were planning to strictly restock the regulars with a version 5.5 but after spending a 6-8hrs last night working out the details of the next silverback training headgear, on top of  my crazy obsession with making the best possible headgear i realized that we have no choice but to go to version #6 and skip the restock of version 5.

so we dropped the price on the current stock of silverback headgears by 30% and we have started the prototype process to our next batch.
